Local hip-hop artist Blue Marley and Done Deal Enterprises are involved in what could be the biggest copy write infringement Lawsuits the music industry has ever seen over Lil Wayne and Young Money’s smash hit “Bedrock.” DDE filed suit against Young Money, Cash Money, Universal Music, and Lil Wayne on July 29th. Marley, who claims to have written the Bedrock song months before Young Money’s version with the exact same title, with various other parts of the song taken word for word from him. Executives from Universal Music are upset at the allocations and are planning an intervention with Wayne before their scheduled court date of Oct.12th. Stating that if he doesn’t say the right things, it could get ugly for him. “Bedrock”, which was the first collaboration that went world wide for Young Money, selling millions of records for them and was also the first hit we heard Drake and Nicki Minaj featured on. DDE is asking for $15,000,000 plus their share of the royalties.
